“Friday evening, WETM was made aware of a video posted to YouTube regarding one of our employees. Wheeler, who was also the news director at WETM, could not be reached for comment by Heavy. The YouTube channel says it is, “Here to protect our community from predators trying to meet children!” The “607 Predator Hunters” posted the video on April 30, 2022, accusing Wheeler of driving three hours to meet someone he thought was a 15-year-old boy. Zach Wheeler is a former news anchor at New York NBC affiliate WETM TV who is on leave after he was caught in a “predator hunter” sting YouTube video. Zach Wheeler was confronted by the '607 Predator Hunters.'
